The feud between Rusev and Andrade Almas is heating up. The two had a fun back-and-forth match last week that ended in chaos as the two managers, Lana and Zelina Vega, battled on the outside. Aiden English is also in the mix here too, his role less defined.
Following the match, Vega and Lana began sparring on social media.

SmackDown GM Paige decided to put the two squabbling sidekicks in a match together.

What To Expect
Manager vs. Manager is usually a time for shenanigans and interference. Managers are generally minimally trained wrestlers who rely on their gimmicks and other wrestlers to do a lot of the action in the match. A prime example of this is Jim Cornette vs. Paul Heyman (as Paul E. Dangerously). Here’s Jim Cornette discussing it.

Despite her current role as a villainous manager, Zelina Vega is a wrestling veteran and former champion. Before coming to WWE, her most notable run was in TNA as “Rosita” where she shared the Knockouts Tag belts with Sarita, who also currently works for WWE as a producer/trainer.
Lana is a trained wrestler, though her in-ring exposure is still insufficient. So I expect the two to wrestle around a bit but for Almas and Rusev to join in with English floating around messing things up.
The plan seems to be the two teams in a tag match either this week or at SummerSlam.
Don’t expect a five-star classic, but don’t assume it an embarrassment. Both of these women are trained professionals; they know what to do to get a match to work.
