The Rock Has Unique ‘Jackpot Gene’ That Means Fans And Haters Will Have Him Around For A Very Long Time

The Rock has been the epitome of health and fitness. However, that’s not the only thing that will help him have a long life. Following his recent visit to a doctor, “The Final Boss” found out about his “Jackpot Gene.”

During a conversation with Dr. Mark Hyman, The Rock found out about his genetics. He learned that it included the rare APOE2 gene. It has been called the “Jackpot gene” and plays a strong role in letting an individual lead a longer and healthier life. Moreover, it helps in protecting them from deadly diseases like Alzheimer’s and age-related decline.

“The Great One’s” strong genetic reveal came after he underwent a health and genetic screening. Dr Hyman tested for the APOE gene variants. These are considered important for one’s health and longevity in medical science. Moreover, he even checked The Rock for early traces of Alzheimer’s.

“We were able to look at APOE testing—which is kind of… there’s different varieties. There’s a 2, a 3, and a 4. If you have a 4 and a 4, that’s the high-risk [for Alzheimer’s],” Hyman explained. “But there’s a lot you can do to actually prevent it. Now we know that Alzheimer’s is preventable—that by intensive lifestyle therapy, you can even slow it down or reverse it.”

After The Rock‘s tests and medical evaluation, Hyman informed him that he had the jackpot gene, giving him a detailed explanation of its benefits. “The APOE2. That means you kind of live a long time. You know—the people who like smoke and drink and live forever? You’re kind of one of those.”

The Rock has been living a healthy lifestyle for years. Following these recent revelations, his DNA has been a significant contributor to his health. So it can be said that much like him, his genes are also strong, which have protected and helped him become a worldwide inspiration for millions across the globe.
