Well, hello again dear readers! What’s a naughty list without it’s polar opposite? And since we covered those Superstars on the naughty list, let’s see which Superstars made this year’s nice list! Surely there are a few good choices, as the year has been full of positive influences on both brands. Without any further delay, let us get to the list!
Natalya
OK, maybe not the most obvious start to things, but she does deserve it. She had an interesting 2018. On the sad side, her father, Jim “The Anvil”, died unexpectedly. On the upside of things, she’s done well in the ring. She also befriended newbie (to WWE) Ronda Rousey, which worked out well for Natalya. She deserves the nice list spot.
Carmella
This one had a positive turn. A change of attitude, a change of hair color and working with R Truth has her firmly on the nice list. She ended the year with a pretty nice gift too-#30 spot in the women’s Royal Rumble, plus a free vacation. Not a bad year for the former women’s champion.
Asuka
The Empress of Tomorrow was patient. She won the first ever women’s Royal Rumble. She was (foolishly) on the losing end at WrestleMania, costing her her long win streak in the process. But, at TLC, she was the beneficiary of Rousey’s interference and became the SmackDown Women’s Champion. She’s deserving of the nice list.
Seth Rollins
This one really doesn’t need much explanation, does it? Rollins had himself an incredible year. A nice run as Intercontinental Champion, with an eye toward bigger prizes in 2019. He finished the year as arguably the biggest face on either brand.
John Cena
Honestly, it was mostly a quiet year for Cena. Why did he make the nice list? Because he said no to Crown Jewel. As big a star as he is, as big a payday as he was going to get, it’s nice to see him stand up for something.
Roman Reigns
Reigns had a rough year. Finally winning the Universal Championship, then having to surrender it because his leukemia came back. The least Santa could do is put Reigns on the nice list.
AJ Styles
A very strong year for Styles. He continues to show why he’s one of the best in the world at what he does. While he did recently lose his WWE Championship, he closes out the year as one of SmackDown’s top faces.
Roode and Gable
I had to put a tag team here because, well, Santa likes tag teams. This unlikely duo got paired up and made the most of it, becoming a likeable pair AND claiming RAW tag gold too.
Rusev
While every day may be Rusev Day, he can even claim Christmas Day too. He was one of 2018’s most popular Superstars, and he got a nice end of year gift, a shiny new gold belt.
Braun Strowman
Did you really want me to tell Braun he couldn’t be on the nice list? I didn’t think so. Yes, Strowman did some bad things in a weird and brief heel turn, but he enjoyed a very popular 2018-from a crazy WrestleMania moment, winning tag gold with a kid from the audience, to winning a TLC match without hitting a move. He opens 2019 with a shot to take the Universal Championship away from Brock Lesnar, too. Happily, Santa places him on the nice list.
