The Undertaker’s Current WWE Future

Rumors of the Undertaker’s impending retirement have been circulating for years and eventually came to fruition at this year’s WrestleMania. By leaving his gear in the ring, the Undertaker said goodbye to his iconic wrestling career. Still, many of us wonder, is there a future for Mark Calaway (Taker) in the company?

Saying Goodbye To The Undertaker Forever

The Undertaker

When the Undertaker left his gear in the ring after being defeated by Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, we all feared the Undertaker was done wrestling.

However, some of us hoped it wasn’t the end for the Undertaker in his entirety. Unfortunately, Sportskeeda reports that this is the case.

By leaving his gear in the ring, the Undertaker did not only say goodbye to wrestling inside the ring, but also to the character of the Undertaker together. Several of our sources report that this means we won’t even see Mark as “the Undertaker” when he is eventually inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The Undertaker Becoming Mark Calaway

Leaving his character behind means that the Undertaker is now his own person and becoming Mark Calaway forever. This does mean that Mark could have a role in the WWE without being the Undertaker, though.

Mark is 52, so retirement was inevitable for him. There has been some talk about Mark being in a pre-show panel, something I can’t really envision, to be honest with you. There is also a rumor about an autobiography about Mark Calaway, which could be the biggest autobiography the WWE has ever released.

Calaway could also play a role behind the scenes, maybe contributing to character development or the creative side of WWE. If I’m completely honest, I would like to see Mark Calaway on WWE television, but I would love to see what he could do for other people’s character development and the creative side of WWE.

About Mark Calaway

The Undertaker and Michelle McCool

While we know everything about the Undertaker, we know little about the man behind the character. So, let us introduce you to the man behind the most iconic WWE character!

Mark Calaway was born on the 24th of March 1965. He grew up in Houston, Texas with his four older brothers David, Michael, Paul and Timothy. Upon his graduation in 1985, he enrolled at Texas Wesleyan University and majored in sports management.

Before his career in the WWE, Mark played basketball for the RAMS from 1985 to 1986. He eventually dropped out of university to focus on a career in sports entertainment

Mark has been married two times before marrying his current wife Michelle McCool, a former WWE Diva. Mark also has several children, one with Michelle McCool and three other children from his previous marriages.

Aside from wrestling, Mark has a love for boxing and many other sports. Mark also invested in real estate and built the Calahart in Loveland, Colorado. Mark and his second wife Sara also founded the Zeus Compton Calaway Save the Animals fund, which helps pay for the lifesaving treatments for large-breed dogs.

Mark has lived a remarkable life in and outside the ring, so I cannot wait to see what Mark has in store for the WWE Universe. What do you believe The Undertaker should be doing next?
