Seth Rollins was simply on fire last night, and while Monday Night RAW continued to drag on, its highlights revolved around the Architect’s opening and closing of the show.
Rollins has been embroiled in a heated program against fellow Shield mate Dean Ambrose as of late, but with the injuries that plague the Red brand, along with the absence of Roman Reigns and a gap that’s been left wide open, it is clear that as we head into Road to Wrestlemania season, Monday Night Rollins just may be leading the pack as the male “face that runs the place”. It’s hard to ignore the whisperings on the Internet around the fact that Seth just may be the chosen one to derail Brock Lesnar come WM 35, and if that’s the case, the next few months leading up to the flagship event are vital when it comes to booking Rollins.
Seth Rollins?
Good guy.

Tables, Ladders, and Chairs
Seth Rollins has had a stellar Intercontinental Championship run since he pinned The Miz at Wrestlemania 34 to capture this title, rich in WWE history, and he’s continued to elevate the belt through incredible matches, open challenges, and the programs and feuds he’s been in. Having said that, while Rollins continues to be booked strong, in order to align him as a Universal Championship contender, he must drop the title to Dean Ambrose at Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC), and fail to recapture it in any rematches moving forward. Their feud accomplished a lot, but as 2018 to turns to 2019, this program needs wind down.
Obviously, Rollins should lose in a fashion that can add heel heat to Ambrose, while still remaining to look strong as he heads into Royal Rumble season. Having said that, a cheating or underhanded move by Dean during both IC title match and rematch is a must from Ambrose.

2019 Royal Rumble
As a Grand Slam Champion, NXT Champion, and Money in the Bank winner, there is very little Seth Rollins hasn’t done in NXT or WWE’s main roster. Still, two things not on Rollins’ resume include Universal Champion and Royal Rumble winner. If the WWE wants Rollins to dethrone Brock Lesnar, then the only way to book it is for Seth to win this year’s 2019 Royal Rumble. While last year’s winner, Shinsuke Nakamura, brought all the good feels back to the Rumble (remember, Nakamura was a face at the time, with many wanting to see him hit that Grandest Stage of Them All in a title match); the Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) has been plagued in recent years when it comes to the winner, starting in 2014 when Batista won and the WWE Universe was so desperate to see Daniel Bryan take the coveted match. Roman Reigns would win the following year, and receive a ton of booing, and even HHH winning the year after that lacked tremendous luster. The WWE Universe is quite behind Seth Rollins, and if he rolls in as an earlier entrant (anywhere between 1 to 5), and takes the entire match, the crowd would go wild. It’s been a long time since a talent has lasted that long and captured the Royal Rumble win, and someone like Seth Rollins could very well pull this off.

Road To Wrestlemania
Between Wresltemania 35 and the 2019 Royal Rumble, we have the Elimination Chamber (February) and Fastlane (March) PPVs. These should offer opportunities where the buildup around Seth Rollins beating Brock Lesnar continues; with a hint of whether or not Lesnar might be dethroned before he makes it to Wrestlmania. At this point, the focus should be Brock defending that Universal Championship, leaving fans on the edge of their seats as to whether or not The Beast will make it to WM 35 as champ. In the meantime, Rollins could also do something that hasn’t really been done before during Road to Wrestlemania: participate in a stipulation match where he places his Universal Championship WM 35 opportunity on the line. He should win of course, setting him up for an epic Wrestlemania 35 moment that just may mirror the experience he had at WM 31: holding up gold, as fireworks are exploding.
