WWE is putting a lot into the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match. The build-up to it has almost been more significant than that for the men’s match. The entire Women’s Revolution was the brainchild of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, and the two of them have been there front and center for every monumental women’s event.
So it is no surprise that Stephanie is going to be involved in the women’s royal rumble match, though not in the way you suspect.
Announcing the first-ever women’s #RoyalRumble match was one of my all-time favorite moments in @WWE… And now I’m proud to share that I’ll be joining the Announce team for this historic match this Sunday! #RumbleForAll #RoyalRumble pic.twitter.com/ehovcuGCXG

This is a surprise. This will anger all those “The McMahons are everywhere” detractors. But, those are the people who complain about anything anyways but still watch (more on them and how to change that mindset here)
Stephanie is articulate and is always willing to embarrass herself to get a moment over. Just look at the last few Wrestlemanias. As for why she is doing this? Who knows. Perhaps she just wants to be part of the moment, or maybe it will lead to her being involved in the match somehow.
Why is Stephanie McMahon on commentary?
My first thought was that she would use her spot on commentary to attack Ronda Rousey and set up their match at Wrestlemania. That is, of course, assuming Rousey enters the Royal Rumble.
It could be used as an excuse for her to enter the Rumble by just jumping from commentary. JBL, Booker T, Lawler, and Michael Cole have all done this.
What do you think? Should Stephanie McMahon be on commentary for the first ever women’s royal rumble? Share your thoughts.
