Ringside Intel’s Rock Solid And Very Serious TLC Predictions!

This weekend’s Tables, Ladders, and Chairs PPV is certainly one of the more unique shows WWE will do this year. The main event features the returning Shield versus a whole cast of villains. We also have two women’s matches, two cruiserweight matches, and a fight between two mythical creatures. Let’s get into the predictions!

MAJOR UPDATE

With Bray Wyatt out of action due to viral meningitis, “The Demon” will now face none other than A.J. Styles, making for an ironically timely match between two former leaders of Bullet Club.

Additionally, with Roman Reigns reportedly dealing with “medical issues” as well, Kurt Angle will take his place in the 5-on-3 handicap TLC match, competing for the first time in a WWE ring in more than a decade.

“The Demon” Finn Balor vs. “Sister Abigail” (Bray Wyatt)

MAJOR UPDATE: With Bray Wyatt out of action due to viral meningitis, “The Demon” will now face AJ STYLES. This means we will get the Demon vs Sister Abigail another time. So here are our predictions for THAT eventual match.

At long last, Sister Abigail has finally arrived in WWE – and she’s not quite what anyone expected. Finn Balor will draw on his “Demon” persona in hopes of defeating her, but will he be able to rid himself of Bray Wyatt once and for all?

Katie: WWE has gone full camp for this match and I have to say – I’m kind of here for it. I mean, it’s Halloween! Sister Abigail is wholly unsettling, and Balor basically turned into Pumpkinhead on the go-home episode of Raw. So yes, while I still wish the Balor/Wyatt feud had ended at No Mercy, I think this match is so bad it’s good. I also think Balor will get the “W” – again. It sucks for Wyatt, who’s lost his last two PPV matches against Balor, but there’s no way WWE would let “The Demon,” a regular character of sorts, lose to something as weird as Sister Abigail. Right?

Sandra: I’m not sure this match will go ahead, as Bray Wyatt is rumored to be out with viral meningitis. However, if it does go ahead, I do believe this will be the last match between Wyatt and Finn Balor. If not, the WWE is making a mistake. Unless… There is an actual Sister Abigail.

Hunter: I think Leatherface will appear and team-up with Bray. But Freddie Krueger will make the save to even the odds. After a nightmare sequence involving Hannibal Lecter, Jason and Michael Myers, the girl from The Ring takes out the ref and Bray wins by throwing The Demon into the Cube from the movie The Cube.

The Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher vs. Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann

After weeks of being belittled by The Brian Kendrick, Gentleman Jack Gallagher made a shocking turn when he attacked Cedric Alexander to forge an alliance with his former enemy. On Sunday, the pair will square off against Alexander and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann.

Katie: Nothing against the cruiserweights, but I’m kind of shocked this match isn’t on the pre-show. I’ll also admit that I’m not very informed about this feud, but I expect Kendrick and Gallagher to win in order to keep it going.

Sandra: I believe Gallagher and Kendrick will take the win since the rivalry has been quite interesting on 205 Live. Unfortunately, people who do not watch 205 Live will not be very interested in the feud. Still, I hope the skill of the cruiserweights will convince the crowd during the pay-per-view.

Hunter: I have to be honest, I have not been paying attention to 205 Live. I’ve been a Cedric Alexander fan since before he signed. So I want him and Rich Swann to win.

Kalisto (c) vs. Enzo Amore for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

In an unexpected upset, Kalisto defeated Enzo Amore to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion on the October 10 episode of Raw. Then, in an even more unexpected twist, a group of cruiserweights subsequently aligned with Amore and ganged up on Kalisto. Will Kalisto get his revenge on Sunday?

Katie: The cruiserweight division is a mess now that Neville’s gone. Arguably it was a mess before, too, but at least we had the King of the Cruiserweights. Now we don’t and I don’t really care about this match. I also have a bad feeling WWE will continue to treat the title like a hot potato and Amore will regain it in some underhanded fashion.

Sandra: There’s some serious trouble ahead for the cruiserweights, especially since they lost Neville. It looks like Amore will be playing a more prominent role and has some sidekicks to make it happen. Therefore, I believe Amore will take the win and rule the cruiserweight division in true heel style. Shame though, I wanted Kalisto to have a much longer reign.

Hunter: Kalisto has been the most under-utilized main roster talent since he debuted. It wouldn’t shock me if he gets the shaft again. Enzo is building the Cruiserweight Division in his image. Amore wins via shenanigans.

Asuka vs. Emma

Emma shocked everyone when she defeated Bayley, Sasha Banks, Alicia Fox, and Dana Brook in a five-way elimination match for the right to take on a debuting Asuka at TLC. Will she shock everyone else again on Sunday?

Katie: R.I.P., Emma.

Sandra: I have one thing to say to Emma before this match starts: “Asuka’s gonna kill you”. This is a no-brainer, Asuka will take the win! If not, the WWE has just ruined their entire women’s division.

Hunter: If Asuka loses, then it will be the worst “booking” decision WWE has made in the last decade. We’re getting ourselves worked up over this because this is what wrestling fans do. Asuka will destroy Emma and begin a tear we haven’t seen in the Women’s Division before.

Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Mickie James for the Raw Women’s Championship

After being largely absent from the Raw women’s division, Mickie James re-emerged following repeated verbal attacks from Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. Will James be able to make Bliss eat her words – and take her title – at TLC?

Katie: I don’t like this feud. It’s basically a rehashing of the storyline that caused James to leave WWE in 2010, but instead of calling her fat they’re calling her old. That being said, I think Bliss will finally get her comeuppance and drop the title to James, who will go on to feud with Asuka – they have a history dating all the way back to James’s WWE re-debut at NXT TakeOver: Toronto.

Sandra: I believe Mickie James will take the title for one reason, I don’t think the WWE wants Asuka to beat Alexa Bliss immediately. Instead, they will put her up against Mickie James, upon which she can start her lengthy title reign.

Hunter: Mickie wins, so she can drop it to Asuka. The two had a pretty good match in NXT. We get a nostalgia run and a good opponent to give Asuka more legitimacy.

The Shield (PLUS KURT ANGLE) vs. Cesaro and Sheamus, Braun Strowman, The Miz, and Kane in a 5-on-3 handicap TLC match

The Shield is back! And apparently, everyone wants to take them down, including Kane. Will Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns Kurt Angle possibly be able to overcome a literally monstrous 5-on-3 handicap?

Katie: I’m super-duper excited about this match and I think it’s going to be fantastic and great. I also think The Shield will overcome the odds in glorious fashion. They have to – the fans demand it!

Sandra: Even though the odds are against them, the Shield is one of the most outstanding tag team the WWE has ever seen. They also have Super Reigns on their side, so I believe the Shield will take the win!

Hunter: Thinking back to the Shield’s first TLC match and how nuts it was. Never seen a group establish themselves so powerfully and so quickly. I expect the match to be crazy. I expect weapon spots and dramatic falls from high places. I think The Shield loses. This is part of what builds them up for Survivor Series.

Update from Hunter: With Kurt Angle replacing Reigns, how does this affect the match? I think the outcome remains the same and The Shield loses. Expect Angle to take the pin.
