Ric Flair’s emergency surgery was successful but he was still in critical condition later in the week.
Ric Flair remains in critical condition as of last word in a hospital in Atlanta.
Flair’s fiance then posted the following on Facebook.

***Update August 19th*** Flair’s manager is reporting that the Nature Boy is improving but still in the hospital.
Happy 2 report @RicFlairNatrBoy is awake, communicating & progressing..but there are complications so needs rest for the 1st time in 40 yrs

We’ve discussed this in the past, but every bit of news and gossip in pro-wrestling must be taken with a healthy dose of salt.

Flair is 68 years old and he put his body through the wringer. Beyond wrestling constantly for over 30 years, Flair partied hard and drank excessively. Even recently, Flair’s drinking problem has gotten him into trouble. Once he gets out of the hospital, let’s hope Flair can get on a healthy life path.
