“Queen Of The Ring” Tourney Plans, Betting Odds For Women’s TLC Bout

“Queen Of The Ring” Tourney Plans

‘- It’s been a long while since the WWE has organized a “King of the Ring” tournament for the men, and it seems that something of that variation may appear in the new year. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the sports entertainment brand has been toying the concept of throwing a “Queen of the Ring” tourney, to take place at some point in 2019.

The idea is to wrap the tournament around another all-women’s PPV event, with the participants stemming from the main roster. It seems as if the company is interested in doing a minimum of one all-female PPV annually moving forward, and the “Queen of the Ring” tourney is just a concept being discussed by the WWE right now.

According to the report, the company is very interested in doing a second all-women’s PPV at this point, so if another idea comes up, they may move ahead with that one.

Speaking of the women’s division, which is on fire at the moment, everyone seems to have their eyes on the first-ever women’s Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) triple threat match, featuring Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka with that SmackDown Live women’s championship on the line! The match is taking place during the pay-per-view (PPV) (of the same name), in about week on December 16th.

While WNZ reported earlier that Becky has yet to be cleared for in-ring action, due to the nose fracture she suffered at the hands of Nia Jax, new betting odds have emerged around this women’s bout.

According to Sky Bet, via Ringside News, The Queen now leads the pack as the favorite to win the match and coveted title at 11/10, while Lynch is in second place at 7/4. Asuka is still the underdog when it comes to betting odds, hitting 11/4.

You can call yourself a queen or a boss or even a goddess, but if you want to see narrow minds explode, call yourself The Man.

While many within the WWE Universe may see Charlotte becoming SD LIVE women’s champ once again as a bad thing, especially if Becky is pinned, perhaps this may be good news for The Man. After all, with Wrestlemania season on the horizon, and the Royal Rumble, wouldn’t it be outstanding if Becks won the women’s RR, only to cash that title shot in against RAW’s Ronda Rousey, and close Wrestlemania 35?

It’s what wrestling dreams are made of.
