Muhammad Ali, born Cassius Clay, has passed away at 74 years old. He had been hospitalized during week, with his condition turning to severe on Thursday.

The former boxing champion was known for not only his style, but power to talk. He would referee the main event of WrestleMania I and fought Japanese legend Antonio Inoki in a boxer vs. wrestler match.

WWE issued the following statement:

“WWE is saddened to learn that two-time world heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali passed away at age 74 on June 3, 2016.”
