‘- Becky Lynch suffering a broken nose and concussion has caused WWE to make major changes. After learning that Becky would not be cleared for Survivor Series against Ronda Rousey, she was replaced with Charlotte Flair. Now, Lynch is set to return inside the ring against Charlotte and Asuka as they battle over the SmackDown Women’s Championship in the first ever female TLC match.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason for the triple threat match is that WWE wants to be careful with Lynch. A TLC match is typically a hard hitting affair, so Asuka and Charlotte can take the major bumps.
As for Lynch, whose popularity has skyrocketed in recent months, there remains talk of rebooking her against Rousey at WrestleMania 35. Considering how Survivor Series’ Charlotte vs. Rousey ended in a disqualification, there has been speculation that Charlotte could be added to the rumored WrestleMania match. Also, with WWE short on big names for WrestleMania, there is continued talk that for the first ever a female match will conclude the biggest night in pro wrestling.
– Former NXT Champion Aleister Black is rumored to be heading up to the main roster. While nothing is official, Black is one of the NXT wrestlers towards the top of WWE’s list for RAW or SmackDown.
Black went undefeated in NXT for over a year and eventually captured the their top prize. He dropped the title to Tommaso Ciampa in July and was later written out of storylines with due to injury. The former champion recently returned to action at Takeover WarGames, where he defeated the man who attacked him- Johnny Gargano.
The storyline from the latest set of NXT tapings could be used how Black is shifted to the main roster. That storyline will be addressed on NXT TV during the month of December.
