Welcome to Bellator results for RingsideIntel. The Bellator Champions Series returned to action live from Dublin, Ireland on HBO MAX and DAZN Friday.

In the main event, Ramazan Kuramagomedov challenged Jason Jackson for the welterweight championship. Paul Hughes made his promotional debut vs. Bobby King with Arlene Blencowe taking on Sinead Kavanagh in another key showdown.

New welterweight champion crowned in Ramazan Kuramagomedov

After five rounds and 25 minutes of action, Ramazan Kuramagomedov was crowned the new Bellator welterweight champion. Kuramagomedov remained unbeaten, besting Jason Jackson in a back-and-forth affair.

Paul Hughes, who signed earlier this year with the promotion, made his debut. Hughes topped Bobby King, improving to 12-1 in his career with a second round TKO.

Other main card winners included Arlene Blencowe, Dalton Rosta and Darragh Kelly.

Bellator coming to United States in September

The promotion will head to the United States later this year. Bellator Champions Series 4 is set for September 7 from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego. In the main event, Usman Nurmagomedov defends his lightweight title against Alexander Shabily.
