For Nate Diaz, the next move involves a fight in the welterweight division.
Diaz took to social media recently to discuss his future, making it known that he wants to fight at 170 pounds unless a special bout is made available to him.

Diaz did respond to comments made by Dustin Poirier about a potential fight. After besting Conor McGregor, Poirier is expected to fight for the lightweight title.
“These are fighting words tho,” Diaz said. “So fuck a weight class.”
