Jon Jones: Stipe Miocic ‘Hands Down Greatest Heavyweight’

Jon Jones

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones did not wait long to take a shot at arch-rival Daniel Cormier.

Just minutes after Cormier was knocked out by Stipe Miocic Saturday night at UFC 241: Cormier vs. Miocic 2, “Bones” jumped on social media and proclaimed Miocic “hands down the greatest heavyweight of all time. I have nothing else to say.”

The bad blood between Cormier and Jones has never stopped growing despite “DC” moving up to heavyweight. There was plenty of talk in the lead-up to the Miocic rematch of a third meeting between Cormier and Jones, but that definitely appears off now. Related: UFC 239 Results: Jon Jones Escapes

Jones is the only other fighter to defeat Cormier, with the second bout between the two being ruled a no-contest due to Jones failing a drug test.

Earlier this year, Jones defended his light heavyweight title with a decision victory vs. Thiago Santos. He does not have a bout scheduled at the moment.
