Donald Cerrone noted that UFC officials had already asked him about a return to lightweight and possible opponent immediately following his latest win.
Now, “Cowboy” is letting the cat out of the bag, posting a picture of himself and Conor McGregor on social media.
“Just waiting on him!” Cerrone wrote. “I know a guy.”
McGregor returned from an almost two-year layoff, falling to Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title. He is a former featherweight and lightweight champion, with Cerrone once competing for UFC 155-pound gold.
